A Van Was Turned Into A Mobile Laundry Service For The Homeless

Two 20-year-old Australian mates got together and built a bosslike mobile laundry service van to offer homeless people a free place to wash their clothes. The charity is called Orange Sky Laundry and an amazing project to help improve the hygiene of the homeless people in their community.

Their nonprofit organization is run exclusively by volunteers and enables any homeless people they encounter on their travels a way to wash and dry their clothes for free. You can help them out with donations or volunteer to lend a helping hand yourself (if you happen to live in Brisbane). They appreciate any and all support!

The team is based out of Brisbane, Australia, but they plan to expand their services throughout Australia by the end of 2015. They are the first free mobile laundry service for homeless people in Australia. Hopefully there will be many more in the future thanks to their great idea!

In the pictures below, you can see the steps they took to turn their van into a mobile laundry facility that enables the homeless in Brisbane to have clean clothes!

About Sascha Brian

Sascha Brian
Known around here as "the German", I am indeed German, but have also spent some time traveling the world. With 10 years of my life spent in the United States, rumor has it that I may even know how to grill a great burger. I don't wear socks with sandals any longer, but I still drink beer and eat sauerkraut like a German. When I'm not writing about motivational and inspirational people on Like A Boss, I can usually be found lifting things up and putting them back down in my garage gym (a.k.a. the dungeon).
